I delivered via c-section here as a surrogate and had a great experience. Every staff member was communicative, friendly, and happy to help with anything. I’ve delivered at two other hospitals and never had such a phenomenal experience. The extra special attention UC gives their patients puts them above the rest. UC hospital is wonderful. Special shout out to the CRNA, he was especially great.

UC emergency room team and their facial surgery team are above and beyond. My husband was bitten by a dog last Saturday, the emergency team took amazing care of him and had incredible attitudes the entire time. He is a jokester and humor is his coping skill. They never skipped a beat. He had surgery today and they were absolutely amazing. The care, compassion, and humor of the team is truly astounding. Huge shout out to Dr. Oliviar, Dr. Greene, and Dr. Doye. - sincerely a panic infested wife you truly put at ease every step of the way.

It's a nice place to go and easily accessible for anyone who is handicapped. The front desk people are very helpful and will definitely help you to get where you're going. The entrance is ADA compliant, which means if you or your loved one has special needs, it's quite easy to be picked up or dropped off. Also, parking is quite ample for visitors as there is street parking and parking garage.

My father was placed at UC Medical Center after being found in his apartment after calling for help. UC got to work on him right away while notifying me of my father’s arrival. When my brother and I got to the ER, we extremely surprised how quickly the medical staff moved. We didn’t spend more than 10 minutes in the room with out a team coming into run tests, give updates and investigate what was going on. Once they decided to admit him, we were very quickly moved to the Short Stay Unit. Since we have been here, the neurology and cardiology have been fantastic. Not only are they giving straight answers with clear solutions, but they are also treating us like humans and explaining how they would feel or treat the situation in our shoes. They’ve been patient, kinda and attentive. And the nurses are just fantastic! They are here for us every step of the way with grace and understanding. As a family, we are used to deal with the the Mercy and Christ network and after this experience, we will be at UC any time we can help it.

I would like to publicly thank the nurses at UC Health in the Medical ICU. The level of care you all provided for my big cousin was one I have never witnessed before. Special shout out to nurse Jackson Kirk (hope I’m spelling your name correctly) Jackson took care of my big cousin on his last day on earth, up until his last breath and even after. He did everything in his power to keep my cousin alive for as long as he could. Even when the medications were appearing to be “working” Jackson still made sure to level set with us on the fact that our loved one still may not make it. He worked round the clock, consistently pushing meds to keep him alive, checking his vitals, checking on me etc. at one point I asked him how does he have time to service anyone else? Jackson never sat down. When his lunch came I could tell he was hesitant to take it. He made sure to let me know he had adequate coverage and would be right back, and right back he came. They allowed us to pack the MICU with as many family members that could make it (the rule is normally no more than 2.) during our time in waiting none of us had been to sleep, we were up 24/48 hours. None of us had eaten. Jackson raided the cafeteria and brought us trays and baskets of snacks and drinks to make sure we didn’t have to leave my cousins side for anything. Not going to lie, as black people we don’t trust hospitals. We don’t trust they will listen and do everything for us. Jackson changed my heart. A white man, doing everything in his power to keep a black man alive. And when the time came that his efforts were no longer working, he did everything in his power to keep him comfortable and us calm. Jackson, and the rest of the nursing staff that took care of my cousin during his final stay, we love you and appreciate you. You have no idea how much you all mean to us ❤️🩹 UC Health

My niece had surgery with Dr. Greg Wilson .( a wonderful surgeon) It was a very complex procedure and everyone that we have dealt with has been so helpful and polite. From the parking garage attendant, security people, the information desk, the cafeteria workers and the housekeeping staff. They are all wonderfully. She is currently in SICU and her nurse Alliyah and Erin have been exceptional. I worked in a hospital in my town of Huntington WV for 42 years and have never experienced what I have here. This hospital is run like a well oiled machine. It is so efficient and clean. I just want to commend the employees for their care. On a scale of 1-10. They are a 20!!!

The actual cafeteria is really awesome and accommodating. A wide variety of dishes from salad bar ( my favorite), to pizza and sushi. Too bad their room service is no where near this quality. I really think someone in charge of that department should visit the obvious problems with them. Today was the 5th incident that I’ve had with them. I’ve been here with my husband in NSICU for 11 straight days now. This should be less mistakes from them. I did contact a manager and I got Erica who was very helpful and friendly and attentive. Thanks again Erica but this morning breakfast for my husband was missing 2 items again. Sounded like the same person from before. Thanks again for your support and professionalism

I took my family member here for for an out patient surgery and everyone, from the front desk, through registration, outpatient surgery, text alert sign-up, pre-surgery tests, surgery, the doctor, the nurses, the anesthesiologists and their student nurses, absolutely everyone was friendly and knowledgeable as they guided us through the day and all the details entailed. I was genuinely confused about the negative reviews, but I understand things can change over time. I hope people give UC medical another chance because I was so relieved they took care of my loved one. Their system was clear and smooth and provided updates verbally, on a screen, and via text. I did really like their building. It was nice and modern and I walked around and waited in a pretty garden area they have outside. There were plenty of police men patrolling around the hospital and I appreciated that. Photo is the garden area.
